Introduction for Chicago marathon

Time and place: the Chicago Marathon is a city marathon held every October in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA. It is not only an IAAF gold standard event, an AIMS certified event, but also one of the world marathon Grand Slam.Affected by the epidemic, we have missed the Boston Marathon, the New York Marathon, the Berlin Marathon and the Tokyo Marathon in 2020. We hope that the Chicago Marathon will be held as scheduled on October 11.
Qualification: limited to 45000 people, accept applications from runners from all over the world (amateur runners, disabled athletes, elite athletes). As long as they are over the age of 16, they can complete the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes. The number of lots and the winning rate are higher than those of the WMM six major competitions.

Features: the Chicago Marathon once became the "fast lane" of personal best results and world records with a flat track. There have been four world records for marathons.

Race schedule: there is only one day for the Chicago Marathon. Wheelchair group, hand cycling group and disabled athletes group are the first to start, and then according to the level of participation, normal runners start in two batches one after another.
On race day, Butler Field, near the starting point in (Grant Park) in Grant Park, will hold an official post-match party from 9: 00 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m.: Bank of America Chicago Marathon 27th Mile Post-Race Party.

2019 Awards: Brigid Kosji (Brigid Kosgei) of Kenya, 25, won the women's championship at 2:14:04 and set a new world record. The men's championship was won by Che Lawrence in 2 hours, 5 minutes and 45 seconds.
High bonuses: the total prize for the 2019 Chicago Marathon is $841500, of which the champions of both the men's and women's groups receive $100000. This is one of the reasons why so many world records were born here.
